Margaritas at Hussongs. Where the margarita was created. And the oldest and best known cantina. One of the best tasting margaritas, if not the best. And the best deal. For 70 pesos each or $3.50 each. Also had a funny USC sticker. . . . .
Amazing ceviche at La Guerrerense in Ensenada. We had sea urchin, octopus, and fish ceviche. Then had crab salad and the shrimp special with avocado. Yummy. Unlike anything I ever had! . . . . . .
The best meal on our booze cruise in Ensenada, at Mahi Mahi. Marlin empanada, fish tacos, fish soup, margaritas and more. Yummy. . . . . .
Peruvian lunch in Lake Forest. Chicken Saltado and Chicken Picante. Yum! 😋. . . . .
Custom Pies at Blaze Pizza. . . . .
Lunch with Shanghai friends, who now live in Irvine. A good hearty bowl of ramen on a hot summer day! The standard Hakata Ramen. . . . .
Dinner at Boiling Crab. Long ass wait for New Orleans inspired crustacean cuisine. We had crawfish, shrimp, corn, sausage, gumbo, chowder, catfish, and oysters. Personally I don’t eat a lot of shellfish since I have gout. 🤪 but I like the everything else they have. I wonder why they don’t give out disposable gloves. I thought did before. . . . .
Pho and chicken curry. The French bread accompaniment with the curry or stew is my go-to dish at golden deli or any Vietnamamese restaurant. Wife really like pho. . . . . .
