Biergarten in Ktown. The fried chicken wings were amazing. The chicken sandwich was so-so. And the kalbi poutine was also very good. Also I can’t forget the kimchi Bloody Mary! Yum! Excellent choice to watch football games. Not too crowded and not empty. Former Ram - Ivory Sully and a couple of Rams Cheerleaders helped make the game a little more interesting. . . . .
Prime Ribeye birthday dinner with old friends. Bone marrow, beef tartare, and crab fried rice. . . . .real.mike.gin
Friday Lunch at Bruxie in Irvine. OMG. Didn’t know half a sandwich was so filling. Had the Irish nachos! . . . . .
OMG! Can you taste it? . . . .
Indian Beer House! It’s actually Taiwanese cuisine with beer at a restaurant with a Native American theme. Been going to this place for years. Basically Taiwanese comfort food. Got the favorites - three cup chicken, grilled sausage, cabbage with pork belly, popcorn chicken, egg, and soup. Yum. I think I’ve had this combination almost every time. Also I like this place since we can watch the dodgers and lakers. . . . .
Hainan Chicken Rice in the OC. But they ran out of the rice. 海南雞飯 usually comes with flavor rice - which is steamed with ginger, herbs, and sometimes chicken broth. But this time they said they ran out and had to substitute it with white rice. WTF. Another thing, there was no option for us to pick white or dark meat. /SMH. I wanted to like this place. . . Heck I had pressure to impress my coworkers with one of my favorite dishes. . . . .
The cheeseburger potsticker at Ms Chi in Culver City. Crispy chicken, Maobo tofu, tator tots, Brussels sprouts, and Buddha beer. . . . .
Peruvian lunch. Wish the portions were larger. But after an hour we realized we were quite full from lunch. Say hello to Rose the yorkie. . . . . .
Thai cuisine lunch at Spice Thai. Had a big bowl of spicy Tom Yum soup. Coworkers had fried rice and curry. Soup was memorable and flavorful. . . . .
