Fried Chicken from Top Restaurant in Pasadena. Also ordered the spam masubi and the loco moco plate. Top restaurant is an interesting restaurant that offers Indonesian Hawaiian cuisine.

Their fried chicken was quite crispy on the outside and tender & juicy on the inside. Though the each piece, of the 6 pcs order, was on the smaller side - I was more than satisfied with each bite. I was surprised and happy as a gnarled on each leg and thigh. Dark meat FTW!! I wasn’t in the mood for the unexpected and usual dryness of white meat.

The loco moco with the burger patty was not so good. The gravy could help the dryness and chewiness of each patty. I couldn’t and didn’t finish this unfortunate plate. The Mac salad was more redeeming. I’m glad I had the chicken which saved the day on this chilly rainy day. The spam and egg masubi was just ok - hard to mess this up.

Unfortunately Top Restaurant only does take out. Make sure you call in the make sure they still have chicken available. I know first hand since this wasn’t the first time I tried to get their fried chicken. I recommend this place and I would go again… .
