Heritage Barbecue

Heritage Barbecue. We went here last year and I had forgotten to post this.

We had plans a couple of weeks before, which had me thinking about it almost every day. I had heard about Heritage from friends, social media, and almost everywhere else. And since I was also KCBS judge, I had to make this pilgrimage. We got there about over an hour early with our tailgating chair, ready to WAIT! My friends weren’t exactly happy to wait, but were happy that I had chairs for us.

When we finally got our food - the beef rib, the brisket, the pork ribs, the sausage, the cornbread, and the sides. . Oh the sides! I think we got ALL the sides -the beans, mac and cheese, potato salad, cole slaw, and bread pudding. Yum. The brisket was great with the expected smoke ring and tenderness… .The beef rib, though, was the star of the show. All the other meats were really good, too.

TBH …I am not sure I would make the drive again, since it is so far. But if I was to go again, I would try to sneak out during the week, not the weekend. Those lines can get long. Though I might not go again, I do recommend… . . @heritagebarbecue @fongjf123 @tastemakersapp #brisket #beefrib 💯
