What is the Farmhouse Caffe? The Farmhouse Caffe is a little restaurant located on the quaint Yongkang road. Yongkang road has a bunch of cool little eateries, cool shops, and vibrant galleries. The Farmhouse Caffe, opened by a local Shanghainese couple, is a English theme restaurant featuring British dishes inspired by Jaime Oliver.
What did I eat? Miss N and I both decided on the hearty English Breakfast for RMB 48. For the price, it isn’t bad. The dish had eggs, toast, mushrooms, vegetable greens, sausage, and ham. I also got the pumpkin squash soup, which wasn’t bad.
Constructive Criticism I didn’t like the sausage, but unfortunately, I yet to realize that I won’t be getting good sausage in China. Also, the soup was served lukewarm, which is bordering on disgusting. Soup NEEDS to be served pipping and almost boiling hot.
The Last Word My stomach got the best of me, when I was looking for some eggs on this recent weekend. And another thing, I know that when I see eggs on the menu, I am almost certain to order it.
