Woolloomooloo, Taipei
What is Woolloomooloo? Woolloomooloo is an Australian cafe located in Taipei, with 2 locations. Opened by Jimmy Yang, a Taiwanese that lived in Australia, Woolloomooloo offers a cool space with pizza, pastas, and everything in between. They also fill the in-between-time or afternoon tea with a nice coffee and dessert selection. I’d just come to Woolloomooloo just to hang out. I like the communal tables and warehouse-like decor.
What did I eat? Today, we had a smattering of different pizzas and pastas. The pizzas, always a good choice with me, was cheesy and barely noticeable. The mussel and black olive pizza was one of my favorites of the day. Pizzas and Pastas are obviously an Italian thing – but us Asians like it, too. Check out pictures below
The Last Word Remember when I just mentioned that the pizzas were barely noticeable – This is a good thing. If I noticed the pizza, then something must have been bad. If you expect something from ANY dish and don’t remember too much about it – you could claim that it was just as you expect and just RIGHT. My only gripe about Woolloomooloo is crouch area is not good enough for eating. . .just drinking. Its too bad we didn’t make early reservations for our large group and weren’t able to grab a table for our lunch.
