My Instagram Pics 2011

By The Thirsty Pig

These are my favorite pictures, that I took, from my Instagram submissions, this past year. I hope you enjoy them.

On our tour of Vietnam’s Me Kong River Delta, we were just about to board this little boat to our next tourist destination.

While on the boat on the Me Kang river delta, I was able to take this simple picture of the the water, the trees, and blue sky.

“I’m Next” … a Muy-Thai Kickboxer waiting for this fight, at Lumpini Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand

At Chatuchak Market, Bangkok. I like this shot, since it shows a little nature (a tree)

Taipei 101, from the Home Hotel - the cool boutique hotel I stayed at.

The Taipei Grand Hotel in Taipei.

The Dalian coast. Dalian has been voted as the top tourist city destination in China. Rightfully so, since it offers seaside/beach resort areas as well a mountain retreat areas.

Seoul, Korea is fascinating place. I only wish I knew Korean, so I could get around more easily. This is the Hongdae area, which is a college town district where students play at night.

This was a random shot near the Myeongdong area 명동

I took this picture in the freezing winter cold. This is in the Gangnam Station area 강남역.

A view of the tallest building in Los Angeles

Beijing Road in Guangzhou. The filters made this picture look better

This was a picture of an alley where we walked aimlessly into in Guangzhou.

The Terracotta warriors in Xi’an, China. A sight to behold. A huge complex of historic statues. Unbelievable to see so many warriors.

The International Ice Festival in Harbin, China. I couldn’t believe how cold it was. My camera was freezing up.

This was an alleyway leading into a courtyard in Harbin. I liked how it looked endless

This was atop of the building in Hong Kong that my classmate Mr. P took us to. Amazing views with a clear nighttime sky.

On my first trip to Beijing, years ago, I visited the Temple of Heaven. I was able to take this picture from a vantage point where the lighting was just right.

I was in New York City years ago when I caught this picture. I have always loved NYC, and I hope to return soon for a visit.

This picture is right outside Xintiandi. Great night time shot.

Mr. Z’s classmate of mine. We were just waiting around for another classmate to return. He lit up a cigarette and seemed to be pondering his thoughts. This is one of my favorite pictures.

The view from Three on the Bund, from the Whampoa Club during the Mid-Autumn Festival Holiday.

I took this shot months ago on Nanjing East Road, Shanghai. I like the night time colors

This picture is from the outdoor lounge at the Hotel Indigo, Char Lounge. Great daytime views of Shanghai overlooking the Huangpu river

From Strip Prime Steakhouse - the outdoor views overlooking People Square, Shanghai

I took this picture from a 3rd floor restaurant in Yuyuan Gardens in Shanghai. I couldn’t believe how crowded it was.

豫园 Yuyuan Gardens, Shanghai. This is actually the outdoor tourist shopping center.

This was one of the first pictures I took when I arrived in Shanghai. The vantage point of the Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl Tower 东方明珠塔 is right in front of Super Brand Mall in Pudong. I like how the blues jump out and contrast in the background

This is from the Bund boardwalk looking over the Huangpu river. The calm night showed the colorful reflections in the water.

I took a quick snapshot, before the Apple staff told me not to take pictures. This is a typical weekend crowd at the Hong Kong Plaza, Shanghai Apple store. But an Apple staffer said that this was slow day.

At the Shanghai Pudong International Airport. I was just waiting around and I saw how the light reflected on the floor.
