Located in the heart of the XinYi district, Home Hotel is the latest trend of new hotels to pop up, with the Le Meridian, the W, and Tango opening recently. Home Hotel is an upscale boutique hotel with the service and comfort of a Bed & Breakfast.

What sets Home Hotel apart is the great location with exciting shops, venues, and establishments just a short walk away. With Taipei 101, Mitsukoshi Shopping Center, Warner Village, and countess restaurants, its as if you are in Tokyo’s Ginza district, Hong Kong’s Central District, or Seoul’s Myeongdong areaall rolled into one. As you walking in first floor boutique you notice the dazzling array for goods designed and produced locally by Taiwanese artisans. Some of the brands include Zenique teas and Brut Cake designs.

The third floor lobby features a minimalist design and layout. The centerpiece seating piece, was created just for Home Hotel, which emulates a chair as well as a sofa. Just beyond the Study Room, meeting & business space, is the Marsalis Home x Whisky Gallery.

I stayed in the Original Bedroom with 101 Views. Listed Room Rate of NT$8,800 or NT$7,800 for Taipei city views, at 27 square meters.

Each of the rooms feature a large flat screen television and an iPhone alarm radio clock. All made in Taiwan by Chimei and Yamaha, respectively.

The bathrooms feature gray granite molded walls, not the cheap tiles you usually see in hotels.

The brightly lit bathroom has fixtures that are all locally produced and manufactured. Each of the bathrooms have TOTO rain showers.

Just one of the amenities featuring the Home Hotel logo, this from from mrkt

Rather than smallish bottles that you might find in other hotels, Home Hotels provides large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, from O’right-harioright.com.

These little details of being “green” can be seen throughout the hotel.

The Marvelous Bedroom with 101 Views. 101 is the tallest building in Taiwan. Listed room rate is NT$12,800 or NT$11,800 with Taipei City Views, at 53 square meters.

The Marvelous Bedrooms features a large space with a draw-able curtain for privacy. I like this room a lot.

Both the Marvelous and Extraordinary Bedrooms feature a large seperate bathtub.

Here’s a peek of the Extraordinary Bedroom with 101 Views, with a standard rate of NT$16,800, at 60 square meters. This room features a wall seperating the bedroom and sitting area. This room is idea to greet guests or have meetings. It is Home Hotel’s suite.

The great views of the building 101 from the bathroom of the Extraordinary Bedroom.

The 70’s style couch, which is quite comfortable, is a nice touch of style.. Personally, I’d like that couch for my own home.

Every detail in Home Hotel is been redefined - including the emergency exit directions. It looks as if it was from a traditional Chinese chop/stamp.

Taipei 101 is the most recognizable building in Taiwan. With stunning views, from both daytime and nighttime, it is only a 5 minute walk away.

On each floor, as you step out of the elevator, is a artistic motif with a “saying” that exudes the charm of Home Hotel

The numbers, for each room, are even detailed in the Asian motif style

The hotel lobby, located on the 3rd floor, features this unique craftsman/artistic seating furniture..

On the first floor, there’s a boutique, called PREFER@HOME, feature many of the artisan’s and craftsman’s work on display and for sale. Its a nice touch and tremendous opportunity for both the hotel, as another revenue stream and designers.

From Nicole Teng’s Brut Cake Creative Working Studio - brutcake.com. This playful design is seen through the bathroom amenities. Some of the designs are also sold downstairs at the Select Shop

More products on display from PREFER@HOME

Local clothing designers are also featured at PREFER@HOME

Located in the heart of Taipei chic XinYi district, Home Hotel has great walking conveniences.
