At the legendary Shanghai Peninsula hotel hides one of the most interesting lounge I have ever been to.

As you walk in you get a feeling of exclusivity beginning with the host who buzzes you into the lounge. This fabulous place shouldn’t just cater to Hotel guests… I believe this place would do well if it were located in a more high traffic and trendy area. I do think the live band lends itself to a more mature crowd. Personally, I like the touch of the live band. . .heck the female lead singer was pretty good looking.

Anyways.. . with they drink menu, I ordered an old favorite – the godmother – vodka and amaretto, which I taught them to make. It was pretty good. I even complimented their bartender on the mix.

As you leave you notice the old fashion wrought iron elevator, complete with mini-King Kong. Anyways… Salon De Ning is a nice place for a date, or a small group of 4 or so.

What to Order: Any drink of their menu seems to be good. The Godmother is a nice drink, as well. What not to Order:
