Bloody Mary at The Girl & the Goat. Brunch consisted of the little piggy (sausage sandwich), parantha, and shrimp fried rice. The sausage egg sandwich was the best thing. Though I am not sure what Sichuan sausage means??? They might need to explain it better. Is Sichuan sausage with the Sichuan peppercorns or hua Jiao 花椒??? The shrimp fried rice was unique. Regretted ordering the parantha. Nice space. Valet parking. Street parking is a challenge. . . . . .

Looks may be deceiving. Had a really bad meal at May’s Chinese Restaurant in Arcadia. Food was a big NG - No Good. I should have known. The ownership has changed so many times, the menu feature Taiwanese and Japanese dishes - who does that?, and the place was half empty. Ugh. I had the curry pork cutlet over an omelette rice. The curry tasted grainy and lacked flavor. The soup was also terrible. Please do not go. Please. . . . .

2nd time at Majordomo. Started with the Bread Bing with Benton’s Reserve Ham to go with a couple of drinks. Next up was the Tapioca Lo Mein - which was the standout of the night. The humongous Spicy Bo Ssäm (for 4-6 people) arrived. Though it was flavorful - it wasn’t as moist (fatty) as we would have liked. Then the requisite veggie dish came (finally) - the Marinated Mushrooms - which was better than expected. Then they stuffed us with the Japanese shaved ice dessert kakigöri, which was the only repeat from our first visit. Yummy but so full. 謝謝 to FYI pork butt = pork shoulder.
Dinner at David Chang’s Majordomo. We had 2 Bings - a smoked pork neck & fried egg and a eggs & smoked roe. Both were better than expected. Then had fried butter ball potatoes which had salsa seca and peanuts with interesting texture mix. The Jumeokbap - a DIY rice ball was a crowd pleaser. The black cod in paper, unfortunately not photogenic, had familiar and like-able Chinese or Asian flavors. We also mixed in some yummy fried onion rings. And we finished off the entrees with the popular crispy pork belly with lettuce leaves. We finished off this feast with the two desserts - the only ones available. A shaved ice with fruit - my favorite - that literally melted in your mouth (as soon as you touch it). And had an interesting cinnamon sweet bing (forgot the name) that was also memorable. We need another visit to try the other dishes, like the meats and noodles. Yummy and Yay!
Never get “hot” spicy level if you can’t take it. Had the “Korean” hot pot at Was way too hot for me. Wifey had the “beef” hot pot but was fine with the “hot” level.

Pizza at POT Pizza in had the pepperoni pizza and the Ktown special (with kimchi). Good price for a large slice. Had to order the pepperoni - as the requisite option and also the unique Ktown kimchi pizza. Strange but tasty combo - would order again without a doubt.

Japanese "Texan" izakaya Tako sunomono was my favorite - the octopus was more tender than usual Japanese restaurants. The fried rice ball, street corn, soft shell crab, Hot Pocketz (with Gouda cheese and brisket) are recommended. No need to order the Tamale (sticky rice with beef tongue) and chicken meat ball - both ok, nothing to write home about.
