APL Barbecue. Adam Perry Lang, BBQ Hall of Famer, in my neck of the woods! APL, a YETI brand ambassador, has a new barbecue joint featuring smoked Beef Ribs! Though there’s no brisket, I feel beef ribs is the holy grail of smoking. It’s unfortunate that Moo’s craft and Slab rarely serve beef rib, I’m glad APL has them. It’s strange that Angelenos haven’t realized how good beef ribs are. Anyways. Check out the big beef rib, the pork rib sandwich, cornbread, and the sides. . . . . . . .

Do you remember having fundraisers at Shakey’s? Or do you remember having the yummy and unique Mojo Potatoes. Or have you had the Shakey’s lunch buffet? Tonight was having that itch scratched, when it didn’t need to, but wanted to. Tonight was about reliving college and little league days of fundraisers. And it was having pizza, chicken, and most of all - the mojo potatoes. . . . . . .

Brunch at Poppy & Rose. Benedict’s - avocado and fried chicken. And of course a Bloody Mary. Rooftop outdoor dining patio on top of a parking structure at DTLA’a flower district. Make sure you make reservations for weekend seating. Unfortunately the biscuits were a bit too tough for me. I’d still return and recommend. Make sure you park on top of the roof of the parking structure. OpenTable reservations. . . . . .

Birria Tacos, mulitas, and nachos. After drinking we go for eats in east Los Angeles, in Lincoln Heights. The birria Consume is great with the tacos and mulitas. I learned about the consume, with a little salsa and lime, is great to drink. Great recommendation. . . . . . . ❤️

Japanese noodles, mazesoba from Nagoya. Dry noodles with toppings. Toppings include ground pork, scallions, seaweed, poached egg, soft boiled egg, garlic, and chasu. Also had some fried chicken. After mixing, the noodles were melted together with poached egg. It’s an interesting texture that may not appeal to all. Sort of slimey. I had a side of the soup. I prefer noodles in a broth. . . . . .

Bloody Mary and Lunch. Cauliflower tacos and Al Pastor tacos, with fries and chicken strips. Also the caipirinha with mezcal and cachaça and passion fruit juice was raves about. Excellent day for a rooftop lunch. I dig the art deco decor and signage. . . . . .
