A gas station. But this is no ordinary gas station. This is a Buc-ee’s!!! This is the largest gas station that I have ever been to. Also, the food. OMG. They have beef jerky, nuts, bbq sandwiches, etc. also, they are known to have the cleanest restrooms. This is a crazy place. Every time I see one, I have to stop. . . . . .
Smoked pork belly and waffles. Probably the best thing I had in Austin this time around. Bouldin Acres is the stereotypical Austin joint with outdoor seating, music, and food trucks. But today was but hotter than comfortable. Anyways . . . Good times and great to hand with old and new friends. . . . . . . .
Texas BBQ from Stiles Switch in Austin Texas. We ordered smoked beef brisket, pork ribs, sausage, Mac and cheese, and cole slaw. Yummy. When I lived in Austin, Stiles Switch was one of my favorites. They were ranked as one of the top 50 bbq joints in Texas. Fun weekend with some friends. . . . . . . .
An Austin Original - Torchy’s Tacos. Breakfast Tacos! The South Congress location is a cool spot on the iconic street. I had the Miya’s (V), the Wrangler (with smoked beef brisket), and the with jalapeño cheddar sausage, egg & cheese. And of course, for breakfast, chips and green chili queso. Queso in Austin has not been copied well in Los Angeles. I fully recommend Torchy’s. . . . . .
Goi Du Du - green papaya salad. And Goi Guon - fresh spring rolls. Yum. Nice spot for a light dinner. . . . .
Was looking for a bag. . . . . This Prada store was in the middle of nowhere. It is an outdoor art installation. Interesting. . . . . .
Dodger game. Watching an almost no-hitter by future all-star Tyler Anderson broken up by MVP Shohei Ohtani in the ninth. Had a grilled Dodger Dog - yum! Had a and it was tasty! . . . .
Had A-sha newest noodles - Meteor noodles. Great texture and flavor. Noodles did a good job in soaking up the sauce. There’s a sign up on the link in the description. Asha was started by my good friends in Taiwan. Nice to see how popular they now are. 加油！ . . . . .
Ace 26 tacos! Carne Asada, Carnitas, and Al Pastor. And a potato! Check out the trompo! They were forced to move. But I think this location is better. More parking and large space. . . .

Birria tacos and churros! Freshly made churros are the best. Check out the sweet Dodgers churro Beatle! Birrieria Pavon is my favorite Birria taco stand. Convenient and open late. . . . . .

Shabu Shabu. All-You-Can-Eat at Kushi Shabu in DTLA little Tokyo. Haven’t Ben to Kushi in years. Had a great time. Great service. Would go again. And recommend. . . . . . .
The burger at Farther’s Office in DTLA’s Arts District. Very yummy burger and nicely spiced fries. Washed it down with some tart pear cider. I needed that acidic cider since burger was lusciously rich and decadent. Its no wonder that the F.O. Burger is one of the notable burgers of LA. It’s tough to grab a snapshot of this burger. I’ve tried so often it not easy to find the right angle at night while a little buzzed. The fries were surprisingly good. I expected something a little more than something dried bordering on stale. But the flavor was good along with the dipping sauce. Anyways. I was more surprised that F.O. Wasn’t too crowded on a Saturday night. . . . . .
